Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria….
These places all have one thing in common.
They are described by the Western world as the enemy.
Some of these countries are even illegal to travel to— by your own Western government.
The West believes in freedom… unless you want to travel to a country they don’t like.
There is a long list of enemies the West wishes they could eliminate.
Are these nation-states different from the West?
Certainly.
Are these nation-states evil?
Probably not.
The distorted image of these nation-states you have…
Is propaganda from the West’s Ministry of Truth.
Xenophobia runs deep in human instinct.
Are these nation-states really the enemy?
You don’t know anything besides what you’ve been told.
So, you should move to a nation-state on your country’s “enemy list”.
Learn the culture and talk to the people— maybe they aren’t so “evil”.
Seek the forbidden knowledge from those you’ve been told is your enemy.
This doesn’t just extend to nation-states.
Be skeptical of anything taboo or dangerous.
Look to conflicts in the South China Sea— then read America’s Monroe Doctrine and the recent history of the West in the South Pacific.
Look to the West’s condemnation of foreign investment programs— then look to the West’s bases and proxy wars across the world.
Look to the West’s outcry against torture— then look to Guantanamo Bay and black sites.
Maybe your country isn’t the good guy— maybe they just have the biggest guns.
